Job summary

Berengarra, a new multi-storey aged care facility, is seeking a Cleaner/Housekeeper in Melbourne to support residents and dining/care areas. You will assist with food preparation, laundry, and daily cleaning across resident rooms and common areas to maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

The role requires a Food Handling Certificate, cleaning experience (preferably in aged care), and strong communication within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Food Handling Certificate (essential)
• Experience in cleaning, and food and beverage handling-preparation (preferably in an aged care setting)
• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Highly developed communication skills
• Current NDIS Check, or willing to obtain

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and daily menu planning for residents
• Provide full meal service to residents and wash meal plates and kitchen trays
• Clean kitchen, pantries, equipment, and kitchen areas; assist with room and public area cleaning
• Assist laundry team with washing, drying, ironing, and returning resident laundry
• Maintain infection control procedures and support residents' care needs
