Job summary

Berengarra Aged Care, located at Kew, seeks a part-time Aged Care Support role (18 hours per week, AM shift) to join a friendly, supportive team. You will assist with meals, cleaning and laundry, delivering person-centered care and a customer-focused service aligned to residents’ needs and choices.

Qualifications

• Food handling certificate is essential.
• Experience in cleaning and food/beverage handling, preferably in aged care.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Highly developed communication skills.
• NDIS check current or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing short order meals and coordinate daily menus and beverages.
• Provide full meal service to residents.
• Wash residents' meal plates and keep kitchen areas clean.
• Assist cleaning staff with resident rooms, bathrooms, living, dining areas and staff/public areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and dust; bed making and kitchen cleaning.
• Maintain compliance with infection control procedures.
• Assist laundry team with washing, drying, folding and returning laundry.
