Job summary

Berengarra Aged Care – Kew is seeking a part-time Aged Care support role (18hrs/wk, AM shift) to assist with meals, cleaning and laundry for residents. You’ll be part of a friendly, multidisciplinary team focused on resident needs and choices, helping to deliver best-practice care in a structured environment.

Role involves food preparation, service, kitchen hygiene, and coordinating daily menu/beverage choices, with infection control and resident wellbeing at the core.

Qualifications

• Food Handling Certificate (essential).
• Experience in cleaning and food/beverage handling in aged care preferred.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Highly developed communication skills.
• Experience in hospital or residential facilities desirable.
• Current NDIS Check, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and full meal service for residents.
• Support cleaning of resident rooms, dining and common areas.
• Wash plates and kitchen trays; keep equipment and areas clean.
• Aid laundry tasks: transport trolleys, wash, dry, iron, fold and return.
• Support infection control procedures and daily menu/beverage coordination.
• Contribute to resident comfort and well-being as part of a team.
