Job summary

Lynden Aged Care in Camberwell is seeking a skilled Chef to join our Not-for-Profit aged care facility on a permanent part-time basis (2 days per week: Friday and Saturday). With 102 residents, you will prepare nutritious meals and lead catering staff to deliver high-quality dining experiences.

You will follow IDDSI textures and food safety standards while caring for residents, contributing to a warm dining ambiance and professional development in a supportive Not-for-Profit environment.

Qualifications

• Proven chef experience 3–5 years, preferably in aged care.
• Formal chef qualification.
• Familiar with IDDSI framework in aged care dining.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Compassionate, caring and service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals per dietary and safety standards.
• Supervise Catering Services Assistants.
• Create a warm dining experience for residents.
• Apply IDDSI textures for residents with dysphagia.
