Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Chef for a permanent full-time role at our Warana Beachwood aged care facility. You will prepare, cook and serve meals with dietary awareness, and support menu design and implementation in line with SOPs and food safety standards.

We value strong communication, attention to detail and a proven 3-year track record as a qualified Chef, with knowledge of Australian food and beverage standards and the ability to pass probity checks.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant trade qualification, eg. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Australia) or above.
• Have 3 years minimum experience as a qualified Chef.
• Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Understanding of Australian food and beverage standards.
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve food in adherence with dietary requirements with a strong focus on food safety standards.
• Support senior hospitality staff members with menu design and implementation, Promote quality standards and maintain service with standard operating procedures.
