Job summary

MacKillop Family Services is seeking an After-Hours Practitioner in Preston, VIC for the national after-hours service. The role delivers after-hours therapeutic support across residential care, home-based care, lead tenant, and case management programs, reporting to the After-Hours Coordinator.

The position requires knowledge of Aboriginal culture, experience in youth services, and ability to manage challenging behaviours with appropriate plans.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values.
• Experience in youth services or residential care.
• Ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Ability to implement behaviour management plans for young people with challenging behaviours.
• Tertiary qualifications in youth work or relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours support to young people across programs.
• Coordinate referrals from key agencies to ensure care.
• Work with Team Leader and Coordinator to deliver responsive support.
