Job summary

MacKillop Family Services Pty is seeking a Casual After-Hours Support Worker in Geelong, VIC, to join the National After-Hours Service Unit. The role supports staff in delivering best-practice care to vulnerable young people, with shifts 9pm–7am and reporting to the Team Leader/Coordinator.

We offer SCHADS Award Level 3 pay, hourly rates of $37.35–$40.05, salary packaging, paid training including TCI and Sanctuary, and employee assistance. Shortlisting may commence immediately; apply now.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years' experience in youth services or residential care.
• Diploma of Community Services or related field is required.
• Ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Ability to implement behaviour management plans for young people with challenging behaviours.
• Experience and understanding of OH&S issues in the workplace.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Support staff in providing best-practice care for young people.
• Participate in team meetings and other required forums.
• Work on after-hours shifts to ensure continuous care.
