Job summary

NSW Health's Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney is seeking an After Hours Ward Assistant to support Nurses and Midwives in intrapartum services. This permanent full-time role involves night and weekend shifts, rotating across wards, with a focus on patient care, tidying, cleaning and stock management.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrate initiative, communicate clearly, and follow infection control and manual handling guidelines.

About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.

In this role, you will be providing assistance to Nurses, Midwives and other staff in clinical units to ensure overall functioning of the service. This is a support role with a scope of duties that encompasses tidying, cleaning, stocking and errands as required.

This is a rotational night and weekend late-shift position.
