Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC invites a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the OISL team, focusing on designing ground support equipment for payloads and testing fixturing and tooling. You will develop 3D and 2D designs for prototype and production builds, with a strong emphasis on manufacturability and reliability.

Qualifications

BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
Prototyping and implementation experience.
PCBA fabrication and electronic enclosure design experience.
Fiber-optic handling experience.
CAD design in NX and TeamCenter.
DFM/DFA and manufacturing process development.
GD&T and tolerance analysis experience.
Production fixturing and tooling experience.

Responsibilities

Lead 3D/2D mechanical design for GSE payloads.
Develop fixtures, tooling, assembly, alignment, and testing fixturing.
Collaborate with multiple spacecraft design and integration teams.
Perform design reviews, build and qualification activities.
Work with HW/SW teams and end-users.
