Job summary

Symbiotic Labs in Melbourne's eastern suburbs is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to contribute to the analysis and identification of fungal spores for indoor air quality assessments and environmental investigations. You should hold a biology-related degree, with mycology and aerobiology microscopy experience, and be comfortable working in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified (Bachelor at minimum) in Biology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Mycology and/or Aerobiology microscopy analysis knowledge and experience is essential.
• Experience working within an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify fungal spores, moulds and other biological materials.
• Prepare accurate technical reports and laboratory records.
• Support quality assurance, ISO/IEC 17025 compliance and laboratory best practice.
• Collaborate with a team of scientists and technicians to deliver high-quality results for clients.
