Job summary

Bayview Secondary College in Hobart is seeking an Advanced Skills Teacher to provide strategic leadership and coordination for the “Beyond the Plate” program. You will lead authentic, hands-on learning in food, environment and enterprise, embedding experiences across Years 7–10 and developing vocational pathways.

Work with staff, industry partners and community organisations to deliver outcomes that boost student engagement, attendance and post-school opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered teacher with full registration (Tasmanian Teaching Service)
• Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with status Employment
• Qualifications as established by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission in the Teaching Service Award 2005

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of a whole-school experiential learning approach across Years 7–10
• Develop VET pathways and strengthen community partnerships
• Coordinate and oversee the five-year food, environment and enterprise education initiative
