Job summary

The Y NSW is hiring an OSHC Educator in Sydney, offering a permanent part-time position with before and after school care. You will support safe, engaging programs for primary school children, designing inclusive activities and mentoring junior educators within a supportive NSW network.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in childcare.
• Experience supervising and engaging with children.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection practices.
• Availability for Before/After School and Vacation Care.
• HLTAID012 emergency response with CPR.
• Valid Working with Children Check.
• Police Check (paid by the Y).

As an OSHC Educator, you will support the delivery of safe, engaging and inclusive before and after school care programs for primary school‑aged children. Working as part of a supportive, purpose‑driven team, you will create positive learning experiences outside the classroom while ensuring children’s wellbeing, safety and development. This permanent part‑time role offers flexible hours, strong professional development opportunities and the chance to build a rewarding career in children’s services.

We are seeking a Permanent Part‑Time Advanced Educator to support children at our Out‑of‑School Hours Care (OSHC) service in St Mary’s.

Required Availability

You must be able to commit to the following hours to be considered:

Before School Care

• Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 9:00am

After School Care

• Monday to Friday: 2:00pm – 6:00pm

• HLTAID012 – Provide an emergency response in an education and care setting, including CPR
• A valid Working with Children Check
• A Police Check (paid for by the Y)
