Sydney Church of England Grammar School is seeking an Advanced Child Care Educator (Qualified) to join Shore Early Learning Centre in North Sydney NSW.

The role is full-time for 2027, supporting 3–5 year olds with learning through the Early Years Learning Framework. You will collaborate with the Room Leader, deliver quality education, and contribute to a Christian ethos within a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) recognized by ACECQA.
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management training.
• ACECQA Child Protection training.
• NSW Working With Children Check current.
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework.
• Experience with children aged 3–5 in an early childhood setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

We are currently seeking a Diploma-qualified Advanced Child Care Educator to join our team at the Shore Early Learning Centre in a full-time position from January 2027 to December 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator to work within a supportive and professional early childhood environment. In this role, you will work closely with the Room Leader and fellow educators to support engaging learning experiences and provide high quality education and care for children aged 3–5 years.

Our Early Learning Centre operates 8.00am – 6.00pm, 48 weeks of the year, with shifts rostered across these hours.

About the role

Advanced Child Care Educators play an important role in supporting the daily operations of the centre. You will:

• Build positive, nurturing relationships with children
• Support the delivery of engaging early learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework
• Work collaboratively with educators and room leaders to maintain a positive learning environment
• Contribute to the planning, documentation and implementation of the educational program
• Support strong communication and partnerships with families
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for children and families
• Provide leadership within the room when required, including acting as Responsible Person where appropriate

To be successful in this role you will have:

• An ACECQA approved Diploma qualification (or higher) in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management training
• ACECQA recognised Child Protection training
• A current NSW Working With Children Check
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework
• Demonstrated experience working with children aged 3–5 years in an early childhood setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, enthusiastic and reliable approach
