Job summary

Magistrates' Court of Victoria invites applications for an Advanced Case Manager to support people with complex needs through the ARC and CISP programs in Melbourne. You will work in a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan and coordinate services and contribute to court reports.

We seek professionals with tertiary qualifications in relevant fields and experience in advanced case management, mentoring staff and driving practice improvements across the program. Diversity is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a relevant field (social work, psychology, welfare, drug and alcohol or related).
• Experience in case management of clients with complex needs, with focus on mental health, disability, homelessness or related areas.
• Ability to coach and mentor other case managers within advanced knowledge areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced, strengths-based case management to clients with complex psychosocial needs.
• Conduct assessments and develop person-centred support and treatment plans.
• Coordinate access to housing, mental health, alcohol and other drug services, and other supports.
• Identify and manage client risks through risk management and harm minimisation.
• Prepare high-quality court reports and provide advice to the Court as required.
• Coach and mentor case managers with specialist knowledge.
• Build relationships with judiciary, legal professionals, community services and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for better client outcomes.
