About the Role

Make a meaningful impact in the justice system by supporting people with complex needs to achieve positive change.

You will also play a key role in mentoring case managers and driving practice improvements across the program.

Key responsibilities:
  • Deliver advanced, strengths-based case management to clients with complex psychosocial needs.
  • Conduct assessments and develop person-centred support and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate and monitor access to housing, mental health, alcohol and other drug services, family violence interventions and other supports.
  • Identify and manage client risks through effective risk management and harm minimisation strategies.
  • Prepare high-quality court reports and provide advice to the Court as required.
  • Coach and mentor case managers, sharing specialist knowledge and expertise.
  • Build strong relationships with judiciary, legal professionals, community services and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen service delivery and client outcomes.
About You

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualification (minimum Diploma level; degree level highly desirable) relevant to case management practice with forensic clients; such as social work, psychology, welfare, drug and alcohol or another related field, and/or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated capacity or experience in case management of clients presenting with complex needs, with well developed knowledge and/or relevant experience in at least one of the following speciality areas: mental health, acquired brain injury, disability, alcohol and substance use, family violence, or homelessness highly desirable.
  • Experience in or demonstrated capacity to provide coaching and mentoring to case managers, particularly within an area of advanced knowledge or experience.
