Qualifications

  • Applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Diploma in Administration, Business, Marketing or related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012).
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • RRHAN-EC Fundamentals and Masterclass training, including refresher training as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced administrative and operational support to College leaders including the Head of Junior School.
  • Undertake routine organisational activities including calendar/diary management, meeting and appointment coordination.
  • Deliver professional and welcoming reception services to students, families, visitors and staff.
  • Prepare and coordinate correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting documentation (agendas and minutes) and other College communications.
  • Support student administration processes, including attendance management, student record maintenance and family communication.
  • Assist with reporting, budgeting, purchasing, planning activities and general office administration.
  • Coordinate and support College events, projects, operational initiatives and community activities.
  • Provide administrative support across the College as required to ensure effective day-to-day operations.

About the Role The Administrative Officer is a pivotal member of the Administration team who serves as a key point of contact for students, families, community and staff. You will provide high-quality administrative, reception and operational support that contributes to the smooth day-to-day running of the College’s offices and provide direct executive administrative support to the Head of Junior School and other leadership staff. This role is ideal for an experienced administrator who enjoys variety, takes pride in being highly organised and can confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail. This role requires flexibility to undertake occasional work outside standard hours to support College events, activities and community functions. About You You are a calm, capable and dependable administrator who enjoys working with students, families and staff and contributing to a positive and professional workplace culture. You: Have proven experience in an administrative or reception role, including supporting senior leaders. Are highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines. Build positive and professional relationships with students, families and colleagues. Communicate confidently, professionally and with discretion. Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and sound judgement. Support and uphold the Catholic ethos and Mercy tradition of the College. Highly Regarded Experience working within a school or educational environment. Experience using student management systems and education-based software platforms. Experience supporting events, projects and operational initiatives. First Aid experience and confidence working within a student-centred environment.
