Our NSW Government client is seeking an Administration Support Officer to join a busy and customer-focused team providing administrative support services across a high-volume operational environment. This role will be responsible for managing shared inboxes, processing customer and stakeholder enquiries, maintaining records, supporting team administration activities and ensuring the delivery of high-quality customer service. The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Role Till: 30 October 2026, with strong potential for extension.
Hourly Rate: $41 per hour + Super
Location: Newcastle West (2302), NSW. Full-time onsite requirement.
Hours of Work: 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support services to support the day-to-day operations of a busy team environment.
- Manage and allocate enquiries received through shared inboxes, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Act as a point of contact for customers and stakeholders, providing information, assistance and referral services where required.
- Undertake a range of administrative activities including data entry, document preparation, correspondence management and record maintenance.
- Prepare meeting documentation, coordinate records and provide support for meetings and events.
- Maintain electronic records and filing systems in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Support internal projects, research activities and process improvement initiatives as required.
- Ensure all administrative tasks are completed in line with established policies, standards and service expectations.
- Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to support efficient service delivery and positive customer outcomes.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Previous experience in an administrative, customer service or office support role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Experience providing customer service and responding to enquiries from a range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
- Professional approach with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
