Job summary

Safe Places for Children is seeking an Administration Officer to join our on-site team at the North Coast Office in Queensland. You will work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with Area managers and other Administration Officers to keep the office running smoothly.

The role requires at least 12 months in administration, MS Office proficiency, and a willingness to engage with community services and uphold our values of support, respect and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in Administration or similar.
  • Qualification in Business Administration is desirable however not essential.
  • Experience in community services and a knowledge of Departmental requirements is advantageous.
  • Experience in Property Management is desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate property and vehicle management activities for Safe Places houses ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
  • Manage agendas and appointments for the Operations Leadership team.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective running of the Safe places' offices including Reception, Switchboard, vendor and office management.
  • Track stocks of office supplies, house equipment or other necessary supplies and place orders when necessary.
  • Support with invoicing requirements for your area.
  • Support the Area Manager and People and Capability team to communicate and coordinate with front-line team members.
  • Monitor and maintain staff documentation in line with legislative and Departmental requirements.

    About the Role

    We are excited to announce we have a new opportunity for an Administration Officer to join our team on-site in our North Coast Office. We are looking for someone that can work autonomously in a fast-paced environment whilst collaboratively working with Area managers and other Administration Officers. Our Administration officers are required to work full-time Monday to Friday on-site to maintain relationships with internal and external key stakeholders and have daily support from our wider Operations Team.     About You

    You are an experienced and passionate people-focused Administrator with exceptional skills in prioritising and organising with high attention to detail, as well as strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels of the organisation. You will use your knowledge, skills, and experience to assist with a variety of administrative tasks including but not limited to property and vehicle management, documentation, and overall office management. You will have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced growth environment.
    We encourage the right applicant to have the following:

    • Minimum of 12 months experience in Administration or similar.
