Job summary

HYF Accounting & Advisory in Cairns, Far North Queensland, is seeking a motivated and energetic colleague to join our team at the Cairns office. Your duties will include liaising with clients, preparing invoices, debtor management, and assisting clients to access accounting and ATO software.

You will attend to communications with ATO/ASIC, provide admin support to Indigenous Corporations, and offer basic IT support to staff, while helping the accounting team with ad-hoc tasks.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to quickly learn new software.
• Be proactive, organised and self-motivated.
• Experience in a professional environment.
• Clear written and oral communication skills.
• IT skills from beginner to intermediate.
• Familiarity with people from regional and remote communities.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and collate documents.
• Prepare invoices and manage debtors.
• Assist clients with accounting and ATO software access.
• Handle communications with ATO and ASIC.
• Provide administrative support to Indigenous Corporations.
• Provide simple IT support to staff.
• Assist accountants with ad-hoc tasks.
• Perform additional general administrative duties.
