Job summary

Mater Private Hospital Redlands is seeking a patient-centred Administrator to provide high-quality administrative support across clinical and operational teams. The role offers 6:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with 5x6 hour shifts and 1x8 hour shift every fortnight, and temporary part-time employment until April with possible extension.

Salary range is $39.79–$44.25 per hour, plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900, plus staff benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Providing a high level of administrative support to clinical and operational teams.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, medical practitioners and staff.
  • Managing reception activities, including patient admissions and discharges.
  • Conducting health fund eligibility checks and processing patient payments.
  • Supporting bookings, appointments, admissions and course enrolments.
  • Assisting with banking reconciliation, purchasing and inventory management.
  • Coordinating maintenance requests and general operational support activities.
  • Performing clinical transcription, records management and patient information requests.
  • Monitoring and maintaining data quality, identifying and correcting discrepancies as required.
  • Supporting rostering activities in line with relevant work instructions and enterprise agreements.

About the role

Mater Private Hospital Redlands has an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused Administrator. Shift times range from 6:00am through to 5:00pm Monday – Friday. The successful applicant will be offered Temporary Part time employment until end of April with possible extension. The shifts offered will ideally be 5 x 6 hour shifts and 1 x 8 hour shift per fortnight.

In this role you will be providing high-quality administrative support while contributing to the delivery of exceptional service for our patients, visitors and clinical teams.

Working closely with the Administration Team Leader/Manager and wider multidisciplinary team, you will proactively manage a range of administrative, business support and coordination activities. You will work with a degree of autonomy, balancing competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on patient experience, data quality, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Salary range: $39.79 – $44.25 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
