Job summary

University of Redlands invites applications to its Adjunct Faculty Pool in the Department of Teaching and Learning. The pool supports credential, undergraduate, and graduate courses across online, hybrid, and in-person formats, with emphasis on equitable and innovative instruction.

We seek experienced educators who can teach daytime or evening courses, contribute to course planning and accreditation activities, and mentor adult learners while using educational technologies to enhance learning.

Qualifications

• Earned master’s or doctorate in education or closely related field.
• Valid California teaching credential or equivalent preparation.
• Minimum of three years of successful PK–12 teaching experience.
• Experience working with diverse student populations and culturally responsive instructional practices.
• Knowledge of California academic content standards and teacher preparation requirements.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and mentoring adult learners.
• Experience using educational technologies and learning management systems to support instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and credential coursework in online, hybrid, and/or face-to-face formats.
• Facilitate engaging learning experiences that connect theory, research, and practice.
• Support candidates in meeting California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) standards and program outcomes.
• Utilize learning management systems and educational technologies to support teaching and learning.
• Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with program faculty and staff to support candidate success.
• Participate in course planning, curriculum improvement, and accreditation-related activities as appropriate.
• Maintain regular communication with students and the Department of Teaching and Learning.
