Job summary

AG Security Group is seeking a Senior Security Technician to lead field teams in regional South Australia. This Drive-In/Drive-Out role includes accommodation, a generous allowance, and exposure to a range of security systems state-wide.

You will supervise technicians, install and commission systems, and maintain strong client relationships while delivering innovative, reliable security solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technician with problem-solving and technology focus.
• Experience leading teams in field service.
• Proven service or installation experience in security systems.
• Certifications in Hills Reliance, Interlogix Tecom, Gallagher or Integriti desirable.
• SA Driver’s Licence and SA Security Licence are required.
• ACMA Open Cabling Registration Licence and White Card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Security Technicians and Trade Assistants.
• Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and commission security systems including alarms, access control, CCTV, IP surveillance and networking.
• Install and upgrade systems from cabling and device fit-off to full programming and testing.
• Connect and commission systems with our 24/7 monitoring centre.
• Build strong client relationships by delivering outstanding service and technical solutions.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and several newly secured long-term contracts, we're expanding and on the lookout for a motivated Senior Security Technician to join us. The role is a Drive-In / Drive-Out (DIDO) position Monday to Friday based in regional South Australia, with accommodation provided and generous living away from home allowance. In this role, you'll:

• Supervise Security Technicians and Trade Assistants.

What You Bring

We're looking for a hands‐on technician with a passion for problem-solving and technology.

You'll have:

• Experience managing teams.
• Proven experience in a similar service or installation role.
• Training or certifications in systems such as Hills Reliance, Interlogix Tecom, Gallagher or Inner Range Integriti (desirable).
• Strong IT and networking knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A proactive, safety‐first approach and an eye for detail.
• The drive to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.
