Job summary

AHT Group in Adelaide is seeking a Security Technician to lead configuration, integration and testing of electronic security systems across installation and service work. You will diagnose faults, perform maintenance, and support CCTV, access control, and intruder detection solutions.

You will liaise with clients, draft cable schedules and technical reports, and mentor junior technicians while contributing to continuous improvement across the business.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Security Industry Licence and Open Registration Licence with endorsements
• Construction Industry White Card and Working With Children Check required
• National Police Clearance and SA Driver's Licence are required

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and provide effective technical solutions
• Conduct preventative maintenance and system upgrades
• Support CCTV, IP surveillance, access control, intercom, and intrusion detection systems
• Install network hardware and associated technologies
• Prepare technical reports and service documentation
• Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders
• Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support
• Assist with project planning and system design
• Interpret architectural drawings
• Create cable schedules, drawings, and documentation
• Prepare minor quotations and technical recommendations
• Coordinate with subcontractors and project teams
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications
• Mentor apprentices, trainees, and junior technicians
• Share technical knowledge and support team development

About the Role

As a Security Technician you'll lead the configuration, integration and testing of our electronic security systems. This role may be fluid across both installation projects and service troubleshooting.

Your responsibilities will include:

Technical Responsibilities

Diagnose faults and provide effective technical solutions

Conduct preventative maintenance and system upgrades

Support CCTV, IP surveillance, access control, intercom, and intrusion detection systems

Install network hardware and associated technologies

Prepare technical reports and service documentation

Project and Client Management

Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders

Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support

Assist with project planning and system design

Interpret architectural drawings

Create cable schedules, drawings, and documentation

Prepare minor quotations and technical recommendations
