Job summary

AG Security Group is seeking a Senior Security Technician for a Drive-In / Drive-Out role based in regional South Australia. You will supervise technicians, service and install alarms, access control, CCTV, IP surveillance, and networking equipment.

You’ll lead client relationships, drive technical solutions, and thrive in a hands-on, safety‑first team. Accommodation provided, social culture, and career development.

Qualifications

• Experience leading security tech teams and contractor staff.
• Proven track record in installation and service of security systems.
• Certifications in major security platforms listed above are preferred.
• Strong IT and networking knowledge for system integrations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise security technicians and trade assistants.
• Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and commission security systems including alarms, access control, CCTV, IP surveillance and networking equipment.
• Install and upgrade systems—from cabling and device fit-off to full programming and testing.
• Connect and commission systems with our 24/7 monitoring centre.
• Build strong client relationships by delivering outstanding service and technical solutions.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and several newly secured long-term contracts, we’re expanding and on the lookout for a motivated Senior Security Technician to join us. The role is a Drive-In / Drive-Out (DIDO) position Monday to Friday based in regional South Australia, with accommodation provided and generous living away from home allowance. In this role, you’ll:

What You Bring

We’re looking for a hands‑on technician with a passion for problem-solving and technology.

You’ll have:

• Experience managing teams.
• Proven experience in a similar service or installation role.
• Training or certifications in systems such as Hills Reliance, Interlogix Tecom, Gallagher or Inner Range Integriti (desirable).
• Strong IT and networking knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A proactive, safety‑first approach and an eye for detail.
• The drive to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.
• SA Driver’s Licence

• ACMA Open Cabling Registration Licence
