Job summary

Quick Release is seeking an ADAS Quality Engineer to join the Geelong team. You will lead investigations into ADAS quality, use vehicle data and testing to identify root causes, and support feature validation and data collection drives.

The role requires collaboration with client engineering, customer-service and dealer-support teams, with responsibilities spanning diagnostic guidance and documentation release. Geelong, VIC on-site position with a focus on ADAS technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or 5+ years automotive engineering experience
• Tier 2 Driver Certification with towing (or equivalent) or ability to obtain
• Experience with Driver Assistance technologies and sensors (camera, radar, ultrasonics, sensor fusion, image processing)
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence or defect-management tools
• Experience interpreting software logs or C/C++/Java code
• Familiarity with CAN, XCP, TCP/UDP, CANalyzer or Wireshark

ADAS Quality Engineer

Our engineers carry out complex and highly technical projects throughout the product development chain of the most prestigious companies in sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, Energy, Manufacturing, Public Sector and Life Sciences.

QR_ is currently expending its activity in Australia and we are looking for a ADAS Quality Engineer join our Geelong team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead investigation and resolution of ADAS quality, diagnostic and warranty concerns
• Use vehicle data, diagnostic tools and testing to identify root cause and validate fixes
• Support ADAS feature validation, data-collection drives and quality improvement projects
• Manage issues and progress reporting through JIRA and related engineering systems
• Work with client engineering, customer-service and dealer-support teams to improve service outcomes
• Provide diagnostic guidance and support the release of dealer technical documentation

Must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent of 5+ years of automotive engineering experience
• Currently holds or able to obtain within a reasonable amount of time a Tier 2 Driver Certification with towing (or equivalent)
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
• Experience with Driver Assistance technologies and sensors: camera, radar, ultrasonics, sensor fusion and image processing
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with automated test systems, vehicle data collection or ADAS validation
• Experience with data collection and analysis
• Experience using JIRA, Confluence or comparable defect-management tools
• Experience interpreting software logs or C/C++ / Java code
• Familiarity with CAN, XCP, TCP/UDP, CANalyzer or Wireshark

Nice to have:

• Tier 3 Driver Certification (or equivalent) for high-speed tests
• Experience teaching or mentoring
