Job summary

Rugby World Cup Australia (RWCA) is seeking an experienced Accreditation Operations Manager to lead accreditation planning and delivery across tournament venues nationwide, based in Sydney.

Reporting to the Senior Accreditation Manager, you will oversee venue zoning, access control, accreditation centres, workforce deployment and logistics to ensure a secure, seamless experience for thousands of stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience delivering large-scale operational, accreditation, venue operations, access control, security, or major event programs across multiple venues or locations.
• Experience managing venue zoning, access control frameworks, security interfaces, and operational readiness activities within complex event or venue environments.
• Experience supporting accreditation operations, accreditation centres, or access management programs.
• Knowledge of venue zoning, access control, and event security principles.
• Experience using accreditation, access management, workforce management, or event management systems.
• Strong project management capability, with experience leading complex projects, managing competing priorities, and delivering outcomes within tight deadlines.
• Experience developing and implementing operational plans, policies, procedures, training materials, workforce plans, and readiness documentation.
• Proven ability to lead, recruit, train, and manage staff and volunteer workforces in fast-paced, high-pressure operational environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience collaborating across multiple functional areas, suppliers, venues, and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of accreditation operations across all tournament venues, ensuring a safe, secure, and consistent accreditation experience for all stakeholder groups.
• Manage venue zoning and access control planning across match venues and training sites, including the design and assignment of access control boards.
• Oversee the setup, operation, and decommissioning of Venue Accreditation Centres, ensuring all facilities, systems, staffing, and processes are established to provide consistent services across the Tournament.
• Manage accreditation consumables and supplementary access devices (SADs), inventory. Establish processes to track stock levels across the tournament and ensure appropriate levels of stock is assigned to each venue.
• Recruit, train, deploy, and lead accreditation operations staff and volunteers, working closely with Workforce teams to deliver effective resourcing and operational readiness across all locations.
• Partner with key functional areas to develop operational plans, support testing and readiness activities, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement throughout the tournament.

Rugby World Cup Australia is hiring an experienced Accreditation Operations Manager to join our team based in our Sydney CBD office. Reporting to the Senior Accreditation Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of accreditation operations across tournament venues nationwide, ensuring secure, seamless, and consistent access management for thousands of stakeholders. You will oversee venue zoning, access control planning, accreditation centre operations, workforce deployment, logistics, and operational readiness activities that are critical to tournament success.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and enjoys working across multiple stakeholders and venues. You will collaborate with teams across Security, Venue Management, Technology, Logistics, Broadcast, Media Operations, and Workforce, while leading accreditation staff and volunteers to deliver a world-class accreditation experience. With significant interstate travel and involvement in every stage of tournament planning through to delivery, this role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on a globally recognised major event and help bring Rugby World Cup 2027 to life.

• Experience within major sporting events, tournaments, stadium operations, or other large-scale multi-venue event environments.
• Experience supporting technology setup, testing, and operational readiness activities.
• Relevant qualifications in Event Management, Project Management, Operations Management, Security Management, or a related discipline.
