Full-time Fixed Term Contract starting February 2027 until November 2027

Location: Sydney (Gadigal), Australia

Rugby World Cup Australia (RWCA) is proud to deliver one of the world’s most iconic sporting events — Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027. More than a tournament, it’s a celebration of Rugby’s spirit, Australia’s culture, and the power of sport to unite and inspire communities around the world.

Rugby World Cup Australia 2027 is recruiting Accreditation Client Coordinators to join the Accreditation team. Reporting to the Accreditation Client Manager, you will play a vital part in delivering accreditation services for one of the world's largest sporting events, supporting the accreditation of thousands of individuals across workforce, teams, media, broadcast, commercial partners, venue operators, contractors, and other key stakeholder groups. Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned stakeholders and venues, you will provide guidance throughout the accreditation process, deliver system training and support, manage applications and data submissions, and ensure high standards of accuracy, compliance, and customer service.

We have four opportunities available, including two Sydney-based positions and two positions located within tournament host cities. Combining stakeholder engagement, systems administration, reporting, training, and event operations, this role offers the opportunity to contribute throughout the tournament lifecycle. During the operational phase, you will support venue accreditation centres, accreditation pass distribution, access control activities, volunteer training, and issue resolution, helping ensure a seamless and efficient accreditation experience for all tournament participants. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with both people and systems in a dynamic major event environment.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned venues and stakeholder groups, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring stakeholders are prepared for and successfully navigate the accreditation process.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with venue operators, client group leads, partners, contractors, and other key stakeholders to support accreditation delivery.
  • Deliver accreditation system training and demonstrations, process briefings and provide ongoing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Process and maintain sensitive accreditation information, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, compliance, and the timely completion of accreditation applications.
  • Produce regular reports, data insights, and issue updates for executives and key stakeholders, proactively identifying and resolving accreditation-related challenges.
  • Support stakeholders through associated accreditation requirements, including background screening, visa processes, and other access-related obligations.
  • Support venue-based accreditation operations during the tournament, assisting with accreditation centre activities, pass distribution, access control implementation, issue resolution, and the delivery of accreditation policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience within a major sporting event, large-scale event, accreditation, registration, or stakeholder-focused environment - mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of accreditation processes and stakeholder management, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across diverse client groups.
  • Experience working with accreditation, registration, database, or data management systems, supported by a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to deliver presentations, training sessions, and briefings to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of data and repetitive administrative tasks while maintaining quality, consistency, and confidentiality.
  • Proven organisational, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Experience leading, training, or supervising volunteers or team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools to support operational decision-making and stakeholder reporting.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work outside of standard business hours and travel as required.
  • Previous experience supporting accreditation centre operations, including accreditation pass production, distribution, and stakeholder enquiries during major events.
  • Understanding of venue zoning, access control principles, and secure access management within a venue or event environment.
