Our client is an established global consumer services group with a portfolio of recognised brands and operations across multiple international markets. Following a recent ownership transition, the business is operating in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment. This Sydney CBD opportunity sits within a friendly local finance team and provides exposure beyond traditional accounts receivable.
This six-month maternity leave temporary position offers:
$40-45per hour plus superannuation
Up to three days a week working from home once you are settled and working independently
A structured handover from the incumbent
Broader accounting exposure within a close-knit finance team
Potential for the assignment to extend beyond six months, although this is not guaranteed
This role will provide maternity leave cover for a dedicated business unit and is not a traditional debt collection-focused AR position. Working within a local team of four AR Officers, you will manage core receivables processes while supporting a range of accounting and reconciliation activities.
Duties will include:
Managing daily cash allocations and receipting, ensuring incoming payments are accurately matched to the appropriate customer accounts
Processing customer refunds and preparing journals, with appropriate supporting documentation and approvals
Completing regular balance sheet and account reconciliations, including AMEX reconciliations, and investigating any discrepancies
Assisting with BAS preparation by compiling relevant information, reviewing transaction data and supporting the wider finance team
Providing broader finance support across general ledger reconciliations, month-end activities and ad hoc accounting tasks as required
To be successful, you will bring strong accounts receivable experience together with exposure to assistant accounting duties.
You will also have:
Immediately Available and committed to the full six-month assignment
Strong accounts receivable experience, particularly allocations and receipting
Previous exposure to assistant accounting duties and account reconciliations
The ability to work independently once established in the role
A collaborative approach and a strong fit with a friendly, lean team environment
Experience with Oracle, Espace or Concur will be advantageous
