Job Description

This role isn’t simply about invoices, billing and collections, it’s about people. We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer who can combine financial know-how with empathy, attention to detail and a genuine desire to help others. At Scalabrini Communities, we’re not just in the aged care industry, we’re creating communities where residents, families and our people feel valued, respected and supported. If you’re someone who enjoys solving problems, working with people and knowing that what you do each day has a purpose, you’ll feel right at home here. What you’ll doYou’ll be an important part of our Finance team, helping ensure our Accounts Receivable and Billing functions run smoothly and accurately. Your day-to-day will include: Processing billing, payments, cash receipts, journals and credits. Following up outstanding accounts and assisting with collections. Supporting residents and families with questions about their bills and aged care fees. Processing direct debits, refunds and other account adjustments. Maintaining accurate resident account records. Supporting government funding reconciliations and processing relevant Department of Health and Aged Care correspondence. Assisting with month-end reconciliations and reporting. Maintaining bond and loan records. Working closely with Finance, Customer Relations, Admissions and other teams to resolve queries and provide great customer service. Looking for ways to improve processes and make things easier for our customers and our teams. What you’ll bring 2+ years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, collections or a similar finance role. Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills. Confidence communicating with customers by phone, email and face-to-face. Experience with billing, collections and account reconciliations. Good Excel and computer skills. A collaborative, customer-focused approach. The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. A genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Experience in Aged Care, Home Care or Retirement Living is highly regarded, as is experience with Epicor or aged care systems — but it’s not essential. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who cares. Someone who is reliable, approachable, enjoys helping people and takes pride in doing good work. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Join the Scalabrini Communities family and make an impact every day.
