Alliance Distribution Services in Tuggerah, NSW, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Credit Control Officer for a part-time role (3 days per week). You will manage cash allocation, customer reconciliations, credit applications, and proactive debt collection, while building strong debtor relationships.

The ideal candidate has AR/credit control experience, excels in Excel, and communicates clearly with customers.

Accounts Receivable / Credit Control Officer

Alliance Distribution Services (ADS) is a leading book distribution company in Australia & New Zealand, providing comprehensive distribution services, and exceptional customer service to our client publishers and their bookselling customers. ADS is fully owned and operated by Hachette Australia.

We are seeking an experienced and motivatedAccounts Receivable / Credit Control Officer to join our finance team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys building customer relationships, solving problems, and ensuring the efficient management of accounts receivable processes.

Responsibilities

• Daily cash allocation and receipting
• Customer account reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies
• Processing and assessing credit applications
• Proactive collection of outstanding debts via telephone and email
• Maintaining accurate customer account records
• Responding to customer credit and account enquiries
• Investigating and resolving account issues in a timely manner
• Supporting the finance team with ad hoc accounts receivable duties as required

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable and Credit Control
• Proven experience with cash allocation and account reconciliations
• Experience processing credit applications and managing customer accounts
• Strong collections experience with the confidence to contact customers regarding outstanding payments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong accuracy levels
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• A professional and customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
