Job summary

Bayside Council in Sydney's southern gateway is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to join the Finance team on a 12-month parental leave cover. The role focuses on accurate processing of supplier invoices and credit notes, GST compliance, and delivering reliable payment processing.

You will verify invoices, prepare EFT payments, reconcile supplier statements, respond promptly to supplier enquiries, and mentor staff through Accounts Payable processes.

Qualifications

Experience in Accounts Payable.
Good communication skills; ability to build relationships.
Attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices.

Responsibilities

Verify and process supplier invoices and credit notes promptly and accurately.
Prepare EFT payment runs and ensure funds are available.
Reconcile statements and resolve issues before they affect payment.
Respond promptly and professionally to suppliers; assist staff with AP processes.
Suggest process improvements and test systems for smarter ways of working.
Meet deadlines and own your work with minimal supervision.
