Job summary

Synergy is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead for an initial 9-month period in our Perth Central Park office. You will oversee daily AP operations, cash processing, and general ledger bank reconciliations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

The lead will also drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency. You will lead a seven-member team, coaching for high performance and handling complex queries as the SME for accounts payable, including Payment Times

Qualifications

• Significant experience in accounts payable, finance operations, or treasury.
• Strong leadership experience coaching and developing a team.
• Excellent Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP highly regarded).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.
• Customer-first mindset and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily operations of accounts payable, cash processing, and GL bank reconciliations.
• Reviewing and approving supplier payment runs, including foreign currency payments.
• Leading seven-person team to deliver high performance and continuous improvement.
• Driving automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial control.
• Acting as SME for accounts payable, resolving complex queries and ensuring timely supplier payments under legislation.
