Unknown company in Alexandria, NSW is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join the finance team on a 3-month temporary basis, starting immediately. You will oversee an offshore AP team, process supplier invoices, and manage weekly payment runs while maintaining strong controls and data accuracy.

The role requires 5–6 years’ AP experience, exposure to offshore coordination, and experience in a project-based environment.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years’ experience in accounts payable.
• Exposure to reviewing or coordinating offshore work.
• Construction, engineering or project-based experience is highly regarded.
• Organised and detail-focused, able to manage high volumes and deadlines.
• Strong communication across teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Guide the day-to-day output of the offshore AP team, checking work for accuracy and deadlines
• Code and process supplier and subcontractor invoices end to end, confirming the right approvals are in place
• Prepare and finalise weekly payment runs
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve variances quickly
• Act as the first point of contact for supplier, subcontractor and project team queries
• Keep vendor master data accurate and support strong internal controls
• Assist with month-end tasks, including accruals and reconciliations
• Spot process gaps and suggest practical fixes to keep onshore and offshore handovers seamless
