Job summary

Synergie Australia is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer for a trusted client located in Milton, Australia. The role is onsite, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with pay at $42 per hour. Start ASAP through 29/01/2027.

You will manage day‑to‑day accounts payable, reconcile statements, and support internal stakeholders and creditors. Ideal candidates will have high-volume AP experience, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and proficiency in JDE E1 and Coupa.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable capacity.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and finance processes.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills; JDE E1 and/or Coupa experience highly regarded.
• JDE E1 experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounts payable processes and provide accurate assistance to creditors and internal stakeholders.
• Follow up supplier and internal stakeholder issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Assist with the accurate and timely set up of supplier accounts by capturing required information.
• Ensure compliance with company credit systems and processes.
• Reconcile creditors’ statements monthly, addressing outstanding invoices and investigating credit balances to ensure completion by month end.
• Prepare weekly payment runs as requested.

• Pay: $42per hour | Duration: Starting ASAP and ending 29/01/2027
• Hours: 9:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday | Onsite position

What you will be required to do:

You’ll provide day-to-day accounts payable and administrative support, ensuring the accurate, timely and efficient processing, reconciliation and payment of accounts while supporting internal stakeholders and creditors.

To be successful in the role you will:

• Ability to implement and complete activities on time
• Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable capacity
• Knowledge of accounting principles and finance processes
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills; JDE E1 and/or Coupa experience highly regarded
• JDE E1 experience is essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
• Ability to manage time effectively according to priorities
• Previous experience providing effective training to a team or in a one-on-one environment
• Ability to work effectively within a close-knit team and autonomously
• Previous experience managing staff is advantageous
