Lawson Elliott Recruitment is seeking an Accounts Officer for a well-established Australian construction business in Sydney. This immediate-start contract role reports to the Finance Manager and supports cash flow, supplier relationships and reporting.

Responsibilities include daily bank reconciliations, cash deposits, refunds, 3-way matching, supplier payments and month-end tasks. Ideal candidates have 3–4 years in a similar role and beginner to intermediate Excel skills.

Qualifications

3–4 years of experience in a similar accounts role.
Beginner to intermediate Excel skills are sufficient.
Strong attention to detail required for accurate reporting.
Ability to manage supplier relationships and payments.

Responsabilités

Completing daily bank reconciliations and preparing supporting reports
Managing cash deposits and banking tasks
Processing customer refunds accurately and promptly
Matching supplier invoices to purchase orders and delivery dockets (3-way matching)
Running the full supplier payment cycle, including documentation and vendor communication
Reconciling credit card and bank transactions at month end
Completing supplier statement reconciliations as part of month-end close
Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks and general team support
