Job summary

Lawson Elliott Recruitment is assisting a well-established Australian consumer services organisation in NSW to recruit an Accounts Officer. The role supports a busy transactional finance team and covers end-to-end accounts processing, reconciliations, and month-end responsibilities.

You will be degree qualified with 3–5 years’ experience in accounts or transactional finance, and you should be a clear communicator who is reliable and proactive in resolving queries.

Responsibilities

• Handle supplier invoices from receipt through to payment.
• Manage customer receipting, account maintenance and overdue balances.
• Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and discrepancies.
• Complete regular balance sheet and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Contribute to month-end close, including accruals and reporting.
• Be a point of contact for internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Keep financial records accurate and up to date in the finance system.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Officer to join a busy, close-knit transactional finance team. Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, you’ll support several business units across the group and gain exposure to the full transactional cycle. Your responsibilities will include:

Handle supplier invoices from receipt through to payment, with accurate and timely processing

Manage customer receipting, account maintenance and follow-up on overdue balances

Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and resolve discrepancies with cardholders

Complete regular balance sheet and supplier statement reconciliations

Contribute to month-end close, including accruals and reporting tasks

Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and suppliers, resolving queries quickly and professionally

Keep financial records accurate and up to date in the finance system
