Job summary

Lawson Elliott Recruitment has a well-established client in the Australian consumer services sector seeking an Accounts Assistant on an immediate-start contract basis. Based at the Yennora office, you'll support the finance team with day-to-day processes to help maintain accurate cash flow and supplier relationships.

You'll bring 3-4 years' experience in a similar-sized organisation, with beginner to intermediate Excel skills and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years' experience in a similar-sized organisation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily banking activity and produce reports.
• Oversee cash deposits and banking processes.
• Handle customer refund requests with accuracy and care.
• Cross-check supplier invoices against orders and delivery paperwork.
• Run supplier payment cycle end-to-end, including documentation and vendor liaison.
• Reconcile credit card and banking transactions at month end.
• Reconcile supplier statements at month-end close.
• Take on ad-hoc finance tasks as needed.
