Ampcontrol is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our Finance team on a 6-month contract, with potential extension. You will manage accounts payable and receivable, ensure accurate processing, and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

To succeed, you’ll bring experience in AP/AR, a high level of accuracy, and excellent communication. A proactive, collaborative approach and pride in processes will help drive improvements across the finance function.

Job description

At Ampcontrol, we're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Officer to join our Finance team on an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality accounts payable and receivable services across the business, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions while building positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role

As an Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately, and reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities include:

• Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
• Reconciling customer and supplier accounts
• Investigating and resolving account discrepancies
• Responding to enquiries from customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Providing support and guidance on accounts payable and receivable processesMaintaining strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable, along with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

You will have:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or similar finance role
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to explain financial processes clearly to a variety of stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve issues
• Effective time management and organisational skills
• A proactive and collaborative approach to work
