Job summary

NW People Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting function in a hands-on role. Reporting to the COO, you will cover full BAU accounting and provide management with accurate financial reporting and insights.

The position is permanent, 38 hours per week, an immediate start, and based in Silverwater. Pronto ERP experience is advantageous and you will work closely with a growing Australian business to make a real impact.

Qualifications

• Experience across AR, AP and general ledger.
• Payroll experience for a small to medium sized workforce.
• Experience with BAS, GST and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• General ledger management and reconciliations.
• Month end and year end processes.
• Bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Invoicing and debtor management.
• BAS, GST and other statutory reporting.
• Weekly payroll for approximately 20 employees.

About the company

Our client is an established and successful Australian owned business with a strong reputation within its specialist industry. The business has been operating for many years and supplies technical equipment and solutions across a range of commercial and industrial sectors.

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to take ownership of the day to day accounting function.

Reporting directly to the COO, this is a hands on position covering the full range of business as usual accounting responsibilities, while also providing Management with accurate financial reporting and commercial information.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• General ledger management and reconciliations
• Month end and year end processes
• Bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations
• Invoicing and debtor management
• BAS, GST and other statutory reporting
• Weekly payroll for approximately 20 employees

The business uses Pronto, or a similar ERP system experience will be highly regarded

About you

We are looking for an experienced Accountant who enjoys being hands on and taking ownership.

• CPA qualification or be working towards CPA
• Strong experience across AR, AP and general ledger
• Payroll experience, ideally for a small to medium sized workforce
• Experience with BAS, GST and financial reporting
• Strong reconciliation and financial accounting skills\
• Full Australian working rights
• Availability to commence ASAP
