Job summary

Wrays, a leading Australian IP specialist, is seeking an Accountant in Sydney for a 6 to 12 month contract. The role focuses on management accounts, cashflow, and tax compliance (GST, BAS, FBT) with strong Excel skills.

You will support ledger postings, provide management reports, and develop data insights across service lines and geographies while collaborating with senior management. A detail-oriented, proactive team player is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of management accounts by service line and geography.
• Handle bank reconciliations and cashflow forecasting.
• Post monthly ledger transactions and prepare management reports.
• Develop data-driven insights from customer and sales information.
• Ensure Australian tax compliance including GST, BAS and FBT.
• Support ledger reconciliations for systems upgrades and migration.
• Assist in receivables management including e-billings.
• Undertake ad hoc projects as required by senior management.

About our opportunity

We are looking for an Accountant based in Sydney on a 6 to 12month contract with strong accounting and excel skills.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation management accounts at both a service line and geographical bases
• Bank reconciliations and cashflow forecasting
• Monthly ledger postings
• Preparation of Management reports
• Develop data analytical insights into customer and sales information
• Australian tax compliance including GST, BAS and FBT management
• Ledger reconciliations in preparation of new accounting system
• Assist in Receivables management including E-billings
• Adhoc projects as required by senior management
