Job summary

National Workforce in Silverwater, NSW, is seeking an Accountant for an immediate, permanent role. You will own the day-to-day accounting function, report to the COO, and provide management with accurate financial information in a hands-on capacity.

The role covers AR/AP/GL, month-end, BAS/GST, and weekly payroll for ~20 staff, using Pronto or similar ERP. CPA or working towards CPA preferred; 38-hour week, office-based.

Qualifications

• CPA qualification or working towards CPA.
• Strong experience across AR, AP and general ledger.
• Payroll experience for a small to medium workforce.
• BAS, GST and financial reporting knowledge.
• Strong reconciliation and financial accounting skills.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Availability to commence ASAP.

Our client is an established and successful Australian owned business with a strong reputation within its specialist industry. The business has been operating for many years and supplies technical equipment and solutions across a range of commercial and industrial sectors.

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to take ownership of the day to day accounting function.

Reporting directly to the COO, this is a hands on position covering the full range of business as usual accounting responsibilities, while also providing Management with accurate financial reporting and commercial information.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  
• General ledger management and reconciliations
  
• Month end and year end processes
  
• Bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations
  
• Invoicing and debtor management
  
• BAS, GST and other statutory reporting
  
• Weekly payroll for approximately 20 employees

The business uses Pronto, or a similar ERP system experience will be highly regarded

About you

We are looking for an experienced Accountant who enjoys being hands on and taking ownership.

You will ideally have:

• CPA qualification or be working towards CPA
  
• Strong experience across AR, AP and general ledger
  
• Payroll experience, ideally for a small to medium sized workforce
  
• Experience with BAS, GST and financial reporting
  
• Strong reconciliation and financial accounting skills
  
• Full Australian working rights
  
• Availability to commence ASAP
