Job summary

Charterhouse Partnership is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to own the accounting function in a growing business based in the Sutherland Shire. The role covers end-to-end month-end close across multiple entities and group consolidations.

You will work with senior finance on a range of initiatives, including budgeting, cash flow, BAS, and external audits, with genuine long-term progression and exposure to leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in financial or group accounting.
• CPA or CA qualified or actively studying towards.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to partner with non-finance stakeholders.
• A genuine ambition to progress your career.

Responsibilities

• Managing the end-to-end month-end close across multiple entities.
• Preparing monthly group consolidations, including intercompany transactions and eliminations.
• Managing project accounting, including WIP, cost tracking and margin analysis.
• Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity.
• Supporting statutory accounts, BAS, FBT and external audit requirements.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
• Partnering with operational and project teams to provide commercial insight.
• Working closely with senior finance across a broad range of finance initiatives and process improvements.
