Overview

Ahrens is seeking multiple Accountants to join its central finance team, based in either our Kingsford or Adelaide office. Working closely with the Finance Team Leader, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, timely financial and project reporting across multiple divisions. You'll work with project and divisional leaders, provide meaningful financial insights, and help drive strong commercial outcomes across the business. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring robust accounting standards, internal controls, and financial integrity are maintained. Responsibilities
  • Conduct full profit and loss reviews and analysis on variances.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Preparation of month end packs and business performance data.
  • Manage project and financial accounting activities across multiple divisions.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to complete monthly forecasts and profit take-ups.
  • Provide divisional managers with insights into forecasting and profit outcomes.
  • Support year-end audits with documentation and explanations.
About you / Qualifications
  • The successful candidate must have formal accounting qualifications and/or have solid experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in project and month end financial accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and involved in all aspects of the business.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and reporting frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Project Accounting Experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with ERP systems - Pronto experience is a bonus.
