Our busy team manages the payroll and accounts functions for several companies, allowing you plenty of diversity in your role. This full-time position represents an opportunity to play a key role in a collaborative, supportive environment, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, other Accountants, Payroll and Accounts Officers.

Your Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Transactional Controls: Process accounts payable and receivable while smoothly managing creditor relationships.

  • Ledger Integrity: Perform rigorous balance sheet reconciliations and proactively resolve variances.

  • Corporate Reporting: Complete month-end tasks and assist with the preparation of accurate monthly financial reports.

  • Financial Planning: Contribute to group forecasting, budgeting processes, and strategic financial control.

  • Payroll & Systems Support: Execute payroll processing functions and offer reliable support to internal stakeholders across our shared service network.

  • Process Improvement: Identify system pain points to maintain, reinforce, and improve financial controls and workflows.

About You

  • A Bachelor's Degree majoring in Accounting, Commerce, or a related business discipline.

  • Prior experience in a similar accounts, reconciliation, and financial problem-solving environment.

  • A positive, professional, and proactive approach with a firm commitment to continuous professional development.

  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving as a core player within a tight-knit team.

  • Strong analytical thinking, razor-sharp attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.

  • Absolute professionalism when handling highly sensitive personnel and financial records.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to confidently communicate data with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • High-level mastery of financial processes and systems, alongside advanced MS Office 365 skills (especially complex Excel formulas and pivot tables).

  • Full Australian working rights and a current National Police Check (or immediate willingness to obtain).

  • Experience with MYOB, Microkeeper, or similar modern cloud-based accounting/workforce platforms is highly regarded. Experience with data visualisation tools (like Power BI), prior exposure to audit processes, will be considered a distinct advantage.
