Job summary

Workfast is seeking an organised, detail-oriented Accountant to join a fast-growing Asian food distribution business based in Acacia Ridge. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, AP/AR, reconciliations, payroll support and general financial administration in a fast-paced FMCG distribution environment.

The position is full-time, permanent, located in Acacia Ridge with Monday to Friday hours and free onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Accountant/Assistant Accountant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (Xero, MYOB) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoice processing and payments.
• Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding accounts, credit terms and customer payments.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end accounting processes.
• Process customer receipts, supplier payments and account adjustments.
• Assist with payroll processing and superannuation requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure accounting data is entered correctly.
• Reconcile stock, invoices and supplier accounts, working closely with the warehouse team.
• Assist management with budgeting, reporting and financial analysis.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams regarding financial and account enquiries.

Workfast is seeking an organised, detail-oriented Accountant to join a fast-growing Asian food distribution business based in Acacia Ridge.

• $65,000 – $75,000 + Super
• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
• Permanent position

Working closely with management and the operations team, this full-time role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, payroll support and general financial administration within a fast-paced FMCG distribution environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience working as an Accountant, Assistant Accountant or similar role.
• Relevant accounting qualification or equivalent experience is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations and general accounting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Experience within food distribution, wholesale or FMCG is highly regarded.
• Mandarin, Cantonese or Vietnamese language skills are advantageous.
• Full working rights in Australia.
