Job summary

Set Up My Offshore, based in Brisbane, Australia, is seeking an Accountant to manage bank reconciliations across entities, handle accounts receivable and accounts payable, and support midmonth and month-end close processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 2–3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, XERO proficiency, strong Excel skills, and the ability to meet reporting deadlines with accuracy.

Bank Reconciliations

• Perform reconciliation of all bank accounts across entities, including investigating and resolving any discrepancies

Accounts Receivable Management

• Prepare client invoices, monitor outstanding receivables, follow up on overdue balances

Accounts Payable Management

• Record supplier invoices, manage payment schedules and settle payment bligations in accordance with agreed terms

Midmonth and Monthend Close Process

• Perform midmonth and monthend closing procedures, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts and preparing inter-entity reports, subject to review and approval by the Senior Accountant

Statutory and Regulatory Compliance

• Assist in the preparation of required tax filings and statutory reports in accordance with applicable regulations, including but not limited to: BIR 1601C, 1604C, 2316, 0619-E, 1601E-Q, 1604E, 1702Q, 1702RT, 2551Q, 2307, and annual audited financial statements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–3 of years of experience in accounting or finance roles, including exposure to full-cycle accounting
• Proficiency in XERO, with XERO certification required Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in formulas
• Experience in statutory compliance and tax filings, such as BIR requirements or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, with the ability to meet reporting deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights to executive leadership
