This business is a well-established specialist supplier of hardware and equipment for automatic gates, doors and shutters, while also providing ongoing servicing and maintenance solutions to commercial and industrial clients.

Position

Due to ongoing growth, an Account Manager role has become available within the Sydney operation. This is a client-facing position responsible for managing existing customers while developing new business across strata companies, builders, maintenance companies, trades, and related businesses.

The role will involve regular customer visits, identifying new opportunities, preparing quotes and tenders, building relationships, and promoting the company's hardware, servicing, and maintenance solutions.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing and developing an existing portfolio of customers.
• Identifying and securing new business across strata, builders, maintenance companies, and trades.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Preparing and submitting quotes and tenders for new and existing customers.
• Following up quotes and tenders and converting opportunities into new business.
• Conducting regular customer visits throughout the Sydney market.
• Promoting automatic gate, door, and shutter hardware and servicing solutions.
• Identifying opportunities to increase repeat business and ongoing servicing.
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in account management, business development, or sales within a trade, construction, building services, maintenance, or related industry. Strong relationship-building skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to prepare quotes and tenders and win new business will be important to success in the role.

• Experience dealing with builders, strata, maintenance companies, or trades.
• Experience preparing quotes, tenders, and commercial proposals.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts.

• Confident conducting face-to-face customer meetings and site visits.
• Technical or industry experience across automatic doors, gates, shutters, hardware, or related products will be highly regarded.
