We’re looking for a driven Account Managerto join our high-performing Adelaide team – someone who knows how to build strong customer relationships and close deals with confidence.

This role is all about winning new business. As the Account Manager, you’ll be the face of Polyaire across South Australia, out on the road finding and winning new HVAC contractors, electricians and trade customers, opening doors that haven’t been opened before, and driving revenue and profit growth across the region.

It’s not all spent in the car or behind a desk. A big part of the job is customer engagement – hosting new and prospective customers at the AFL, cricket and V8 Supercars, running our customer golf day, and getting involved in product launches and trade events. You’ll work closely with the Regional Sales Manager (SA/WA) to develop and deliver sales plans, hit agreed targets, and grow Polyaire’s presence throughout SA and other areas as required.

Previous experience in electrical wholesale will be highly regarded.

What You’ll Do

  • Promote and sell Polyaire’s wide range of HVAC products, including air conditioning units, ducting and components, AirTouch smart controllers, and the AirTouch Home & Secure range.
  • Find and win new customers (your main focus). Proactively identify, target and approach HVAC contractors, electricians and trade businesses that don’t yet buy from Polyaire, build a strong pipeline of prospects, and convert them into active, growing accounts.
  • Monitor and follow up on sales leads: Track potential sales opportunities and follow up with leads to convert them into sales, ensuring all leads are contacted in a timely manner.
  • Grow new accounts once won: Build strong relationships with the customers you bring on board so they keep growing with Polyaire.
  • Work with the wider sales team on existing accounts where needed.
  • Monitor competitor and market activities by gathering and analysing relevant information and providing regular reports to management to inform strategic decisions.
  • Keep clients informed about new products, promotions, and sales initiatives through various communication channels to encourage increased engagement and sales.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly addressing client enquiries, resolving issues effectively, and ensuring that client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Support the sales team by preparing customised quotes and pricing for clients, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness to meet the specific needs of each customer.
  • Represent Polyaire at trade shows, industry events and customer meetings, and bring our products to life with demonstrations and on-site training for customers.

Skills & Experience

  • A proven track record in B2B sales (HVAC, construction, electrical or related industries highly regarded).
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • A natural new-business winner: confident, self-starting and driven to find and win new customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand technical products and explain their value.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, building positive relationships with colleagues, clients and key stakeholders across Polyaire.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts at a time, whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities, to influence decision making.
  • Strong personal accountability for managing your time and working efficiently.
  • Proven ability to train, motivate, and support the wider team to achieve exceptional results.
  • A people person who enjoys hosting customers and getting involved in events, including the occasional evening or weekend.
