Job summary

Coota Girls Aboriginal Corporation (CGAC) is seeking an experienced Intensive Support Coordinator to join our Integrated Care Team. You will provide trauma-informed, culturally safe support to Stolen Generations Survivors and families, coordinate referrals, and advocate with government agencies.

Qualifications

• Trauma-informed, culturally safe support experience.
• Experience supporting Survivors, families and descendants.
• Crisis situations handling and de-escalation skills.
• Strong relationships with community organisations and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of compliance and reporting for government funders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; accurate case notes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and case management systems.
• Tertiary qualification in Social Work/Community Services or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel across a large geographical area.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, trauma-informed support to Survivors and families.
• Identify needs, goals and priorities with individuals.
• Coordinate referrals to culturally appropriate services.
• Advocate with government agencies on behalf of individuals.
• Travel to communities for face-to-face support and care planning.
• Build respectful relationships with stakeholders and organisations.
• Support program delivery and logistics for activities and events.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation.
• Ensure funding, reporting and organisational compliance.
