Job summary

Knowmore in Perth is seeking Social workers, Counsellors or Psychologists for a 12-month fixed-term contract to support survivors navigating sensitive legal issues with trauma-informed care. The role will serve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and culturally diverse communities.

You will provide short-term trauma-informed support, coordinate care, document client activity, and participate in team and office-wide meetings, while maintaining professional supervision and wellbeing

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling.
5+ years of relevant experience in trauma-informed services.
Experience delivering culturally safe services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Experience in multidisciplinary teams within trauma-informed contexts.
Strong teamwork and client engagement skills.
Commitment to self-care and reflective supervision.

Responsibilities

Provide short-term trauma-informed support via telephone and face-to-face contacts.
Offer discipline-specific case consultation to colleagues and partners.
Accurately record client activity and administrative information.
Provide informal debriefing and wellbeing support to staff.
Participate in internal meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Monitor self-care and engage with leaders to sustain wellbeing.
